In this section of the Blessley Instruments home page, I would
like to offer to you some of the information I have collected
while working as a Doctor of Chiropractic. We can all acknowledge
that we possess the most sophisticated, superb, miraculous and
wonderful instrument this world has known, the human body.
Ben Franklin is attributed as saying "The doctor of the
future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in
the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention
of disease."
I like that saying. I also realize that in his time many things
were not yet discovered, and that today we have diagnostic tools
and techniques, pharmaceuticals and devices that he and others
could not have even dreamed of. These can be good things too.
Presently I own and operate Good
Health Naturally, PLLC, a holistic health care facility in
Vancouver, WA. Our mission at Good Health Naturally is specializing
in helping people recover from injury or illness, and coaching
and assisting people in making healthy choices to minimize future
problems. We all need an advocate or coach to help us maximize
our abilities and assets, and our philosophy at Good Health Naturally
is to help people to "Eat, Move and Think Healthfully."
We invite you to call for a free 15 minute consultation to find
out how we can help you look better, feel better and perform better.
Be sure to regularly check the Blessley Good
Health Naturally Home page for short articles and things of
interest. You can even sign up for our monthly healthy living
newsletter. Enjoy; and if you have specific questions or comments,
please send them to Dr. Mark J. Blessley, N.T.S., B.S., D.C. at
drbles@healthonline.us
One further comment: Laurie Riley and Michael MacBean co-authored
a book specifically for neuromuscular harpist health. It is called
Preventing and Correcting Chronic Harp-Related Injury and
the introduction is by Charles Lynn, D.C. . I recommend this
book (as well as others she and he have authored).
New news - Laurie Riley's Harper's Handbook and Prevention
of Chronic Harp Related Injury are now in one volume, and
are a must for harpists and harpers. She also has a new book called
Body, Mind and Music, and a video produced by Dusty Strings
called Play the Harp Today, in which ergonomics are discussed.
Laurie's website address is www.laurieriley.com.
Dusty Strings' phone number is (206)634-1656.
If you know of any resources specific to harpers' health,
please send them to me at the e-mail address drbles@healthonline.us.
If I add them to our web site, I will give you full credit.
